Engage students in forces and motion by having them design a cart that can safely carry a figurine down a zipline. In this engaging engineering challenge, learners explore how gravitational force pulls the cart along the line and how balance, weight, and friction influence its movement. Students test different cart designs to keep their rider stable while still moving smoothly and efficiently down the zipline, refining their creations through repeated trials. The hands-on experiments help bring physics concepts like gravity and friction to life and are always a classroom favorite.
