In this creative lesson, learners explore trophic levels and energy flow, then design and craft a functioning piñata modeled after a chosen consumer. Each piñata is filled with representations of organisms from that animal’s food web, illustrating the connections among producers and consumers. The interactive process of constructing, decorating, and filling their piñatas transforms ecology into an exciting, hands-on learning experience that blends science, design, and creativity into one unforgettable project.
Engagement Kits are designed for large-scale engagement nights. These kits make hosting a STEAM event easy for coordinators and staff. Kits include: steam challenge(s), all necessary materials, a lesson plan, participant print options, projection options, student examples for reference, guided videos, and setup instructions. Marketing resources can be added for an additional fee. Pricing varies based on the expected number of participants. Engagement kits are available for 50+ participants.
